Kendriya Vidyalaya observed 30th annual Sports Day at Haflong

Haflong: Principal, teachers and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Haflong observed the 30th Annual Sports Day in presence of a huge gathering of students, parents and guardians on Thursday at Haflong.

Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao Amitabh Rajkhowa attended as the chief guest while commanding Officer of 11 Assam Rifles Colonel Rajendra Singh Rawat attended as the guest of honour. The day’s programme started with guard of honour followed by welcome song by the students of the school.

Mahendra Kumar Maurya, PGT, Hindi teacher accorded warm welcome to all the guests in the event. This was followed by Deep Prajwalan, Saraswati Sharde, welcome dance, flag hoisting by the chief guest. The declaration of the meet was opened by the chief guest.

Lighting of torch was done by the chief guest. All the winners of the events including athletes were given medals, certificates and trophies by the Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Rajkhowa and Commanding Officer R S Rawat. This year Ashoka House was adjudged as the champion securing 50 gold medals.
