Kharahat Gaon Panchayat to Khongia road in dilapidated condition

DEMOW: About 3 km-long road from Kharahat Gaon Panchayat to Khongia is in bad shape. The contractor allegedly stopped development after building 1 km of the road, according to the secretary of the AASAA, Demow Regional Committee. The remaining 2 kilometres of the road need to be built. Sources claim that the Kharahat Gaon Panchayat to Khongia Road’s foundation stone was laid at the Thowra Constituency 2021 bye-election. The people of Kharahat, Khongia, Laojan are facing serious problems to travel through the road. Due to the negligence of the concerned authority, the condition of the road has deteriorated. Also, there are claims that the completed 1-kilometer road has now split up in certain places. The people residing in that area have demanded the concerned authority to construct the road at the earliest.
