Kokrajhar police recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition

KOKRAJHAR: Kokrajhar police on Tuesday night recovered arms and a huge cache of ammunition in Kokrajhar.

Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roushan informed that the police team, based on secret information of illegal arms and ammunition concealed at Bathouguri village under Kokrajhar PS area, launched a search operation under the leadership of Mukut Rabha, ASP, HQ on Tuesday night. He said that the team recovered one AK- 47, 290 numbers of ammunition of 7.62 mm and 19 numbers of ammunition of 303 mm which were kept concealed near a fish pond in the village.
