Labourers of Dekorai TE staged protest at Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT : The labourers of Dekorai TE staged a protest in favour of their 13-point charter of demands, in front of the main gate of Dekorai TE on Tuesday. Hundreds of labourers assembled in front of the entrance and shouted slogans against the BJP government, owner of the tea estate and anti-labour policies of the State and Central governments. The demonstrators shouted slogans in demand of ST status for the tea tribe community. They submitted a memorandum to Kuljit Bora, manager of Dekorai TE, and demanded immediate implementation of their 13-point charter of demands.
