Lai khuta for Me-Dam-Me-Phi erected at Tyag Kshetra in North Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Me-Dam-Me-Phi, the sacred event of the Ahom community will be celebrated in Lakhimpur in a befitting manner on January 31. On this occasion, Lai khuta was erected by the organizing committee president Binod Kumar Gogoi at Tyag Kshetra in North Lakhimpur town on Wednesday. Along with the dignitaries of the celebration committee, advisers Dr. Biman Chetia, Dr. Amarendra Gogoi, Guna Phukan, Dharmeswar Gogoi, Parama Lahon were present in the event which was anchored by secretary Pranjal Hiltan Konwar. The organizing committee appealed to the people of Lakhimpur along with the native community to make the Me-Dam-Me-Phi celebration successful.
