Lakhimpur forest division, Aaranyak hold legal workshop for field officials

Forest field officials including Beat Officers and Foresters from the Territorial and Social Forestry Divisions in Lakhimpur were sensitized on various Forest Acts/Rules and the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 in a workshop organized in Lakhimpur on July 30.

GUWAHATI: Forest field officials including Beat Officers and Foresters (Grade I) from the Territorial and Social Forestry Divisions in Lakhimpur were sensitized on various Forest Acts/Rules and the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 in a workshop organized in Lakhimpur on July 30. The “Legal Workshop on Forest Acts/Rules and Wildlife Protection Act 1972, and its application” was organised by the Divisional Forest Office (Territorial Division), Lakhimpur in collaboration with the Aaranyak, a leading research-driven biodiversity conservation organisation in Northeast India, at the conference hall of the Divisional Forest Office (Social Forestry Division) at Japisajia in Lakhimpur.
