Lifetime Achievement Award conferred to veteran actor Bhola Kataky

Biswanath Chariali: Noted dramatist and veteran actor Bhola Kataky was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award, 2020 by cultural activist Arup Saikia of Prajanya Unmesh, a leading socio-cultural organization of Jamuguri, Sonitpur on the occasion of the actor’s 86th birthday at a function held at Bapuji Bhavan on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, eminent actor Prithviraj Rabha narrated various incidents of Bhola Kataky and the latter’s association with Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha. The event was conducted by joint coordinators Girimallika Saikia and Gitimallika Baidya. Around 30 organizations felicitated the veteran artiste in the programme. The families of Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla, Bishnu Prasad Rabha and Phani Sharma were present on the occasion. Various colourful cultural shows, including Shankerdev’s Kellygopal, Bihu, drama and recitation were also presented.
