Live Broadcast of ‘Fit India Movement’ in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: The inauguration of the ‘Fit India Movement’ in New Delhi by PM Narendra Modi on Thursday was broadcast live here. Provisions were made for the same in the Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall, Milan Nagar under the aegis of district administration and with the support of Dibrugarh District Sports Officer and Dibrugarh District Information and Public Relations Officer. Attending the event, MLA, Prashanta Phukan and DC, Pallav Gopal Jha called on everyone to stay physically fit and alert, and contribute to the nation-making process. Attended by many students, conscious citizens and sports-loving people, the event was also witnessed by Chief Executive Member of the Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council, Dipuranjan Makrari, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad, Diganta Saikia and District Sports Officer Dhrubajyoti Deka. A swearing ceremony on fitness was also held in the meeting.
