Man Killed As Bike Hits Sleeping Horses In Assam

GUWAHATI: In a terrific incident a man died after his bike has hit a herd of stray horses on Saturday night.

The incident took place in Dhudhor Ali at Nazira of Sivasagar in Assam last night at 11:30 pm.

The man identified as Ajay Mech dashed his motorbike onto the sleeping horses leading to the death of both the biker and the horses.

Locals said that in the last few days few stray horses were roaming in the localities.

Soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and found Ajay and three horses lying dead in a pool of blood.

The local immediately informed the local police and forest officials.

In Delhi at least two children died after a four-storey building collapsed in Malkaganj near Sabzi Mundi in North Delhi on Monday morning. The two kids, both brothers, were rescued from under debris after the building collapsed but they were declared brought dead after being taken at a hospital. Another person was rescued from under the debris and is under treatment at the hospital. Many other people are feared to have been trapped inside the debris because of the building collapse.

As per reports, the incident took place between 11:30-11:50am when a building collapsed in Malkaganj area of Delhi because of which at least two children were killed. A car which was parked nearby was damaged as debris from the building fell on it. The fire control room was informed about 11:50am after which five fire tenders and rescue teams reached the spot. Two more fire tenders were sent later.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said he was monitoring the situation closely. He also shared about the incident on social media. N. S. Bundela, Joint CP, Central Range, Delhi said teams of local police, MCD, NDRF were present for rescue operations. They need some time to assess the number of people stuck under debris, Bundela said.
