Meeting held to discuss Independence Day celebration in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: In order to celebrate the forthcoming Independence Day in the district peacefully, a meeting was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office with Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha in the chair. Senior officials of all law enforcing agencies like Assam Police, CRPF, Army, Air Force, CISF and Railway Protection Forces attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed elaborately about the law-and-order situation of the district and how to keep peace and tranquility in the district during celebration of the forthcoming Independence Day. All the members during discussion put more emphasis on a coordinated effort amongst all law enforcing agencies presently engaged in the district. DC Jha called upon security forces to keep strict vigilance and to be prepared to thwart all security threat in order to make the Independence Day celebration in the district incident-free.

Superintendent of Police Shetwanka Misra, DIG, CRPF, Rajiv Ranjan, Commandant CRPF, Dibrugarh, Pradumnya Kumar Singh, ADC Biswajit Phukan, Assistant Commissioner Hema Nayak and other officials, amongst others attended the meeting.
