Meeting in Chirang DC office on preparations for 73rd Independence Day celebration

Kokrajhar: The district administration, Chirang has geared up to celebrate the 73rd Independence Day function at the District Parade Ground.
In this regard, a meeting of the district-level officials of civil and police administration, army, paramilitary forces, representatives of various institutions and organizations was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Chirang under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Gautam Talukdar.
The district-level main function will be held at District Parade Ground, Kajalgaon with the playing of prabhat pheri at 5.30am, hoisting of national flag in residential buildings at 6.30am, hoisting of national flags at government, semi-government offices at 7.30am, procession of college and school students to the parade ground at 8.00am, swahid tarpan at 8.45am and ceremonially hoisting of national flag at 9:00am. In the meeting, officials from both civil and police administration were given responsibilities for preparedness of the march past contingents, cultural groups, tableau demonstration and logistics at the venue of the main function to be held. Superintendent of Police Sudhakar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma and other high-level officers were present in the meeting.
