SIVASAGAR: Three election constituencies of Deori Autonomous Council (DAC) in the Sivasagar district — Rajabari, Tengapani and Kotiori will go to polls on November 8. On this occasion, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sivasagar District Development Commissioner and Officer-in-charge of the Deori Autonomous Council Election, Subhan Gowala recently. The election notification has already been issued on October 11 and the filing of nominations has been completed from October 12 to October 19. Counting of votes will take place on November 10. The total number of voters in Tengapani constituency is 1,153, the total number of voters in Kotiori constituency is 1,436 and the total number of voters in Rajabari constituency is 2,033. The meeting discussed in detail the responsibilities and duties to be performed by a total of 24 different election cells.
Apart from the District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Sivasagar Karmadev Brahma, Chandana and Dr Mandira Baruah, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Charaideo district, Abhijit Gogoi, Additional Superintendent of Police Dr Debajit Nath and Arif Ahmed and other election officials were also present in the meeting.
