Meeting on flood preparedness held in Kokrajhar district

KOKRAJHAR: A meeting was held in the office chamber of the Subdivisional Office of Parbatjhora subdivision on Tuesday on the flood problem that could take place in different parts of Parbatjhora subdivision of Kokrajhar district during the monsoon.

The Circle Officer of Bagribari Circle Office and i/c SDO (c) of Parbatjhora subdivision, Devajyoti Gogoi discussed the problems in this regard with officials and staff of various departments. She emphasized field-based studies in the region in advance so that the flood-affected areas do not suffer losses. She especially urged the officials to be vigilant about the problems that can occur during floods like drinking water, food, health, crops, transportation etc. NDRF and SDRF do not have an office in Parbatjhora subdivision, which is a long-standing shortage of the area. She also discussed with officials of various departments of the subdivision about their work accounts also.
