Meeting with telecom operators in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, Varnali Deka on Thursday held a meeting the telecom operators providing services in the district regarding the mobile and data connectivity here in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office.

In the meeting, the matter of connectivity in shadow areas as well as installing new towers at forest areas like Saralpara and its adjoining areas were discussed. Issues regarding installation of towers etc. were discussed in details and steps taken to ensure immediate installation. Deputy Commissioner Varnali Deka urged the operators to improve the coverage and area of operation for ensuring proper operation of ePOS machines used to maintain the transactions of the public distribution system. The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, circle officers and Divisional Forest Officers of the district.
