LAKHIMPUR: Sankardev Shishu/Bidya Niketan, located at Bahpati-Azad area of Lakhimpur district, on Monday gave warm felicitations to the students who passed the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam from the academic institution this year. On this occasion, a ceremonial programme was organized in the school auditorium and it commenced with Tileswar Borah, the president of the Niketan Management Committee, in the chair. The programme was inaugurated by Bharatiya Janata Party Telahi Mandal president Joy Krishna Das by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Lakhimpur district Inspector of Schools, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chutia attended the programme as chief guest. He in his lecture, laid stress on moulding the students with quality education as well as with strong character to build a value based society. He lauded the Niketan for ensuring a brilliant result in the HSLC exam this year too. A student of the Niketan, named Kaushik Ranjan Chuita, passed the exam by securing 97.5 per cent along with 100 per cent marks in Assamese, General Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics and Social Science. In the programme, a total of 26 students who passed the HSLC exam from the Niketan with flying colours, were feted.
