Minister Krishnendu Paul Reviews Progress of Silchar Auditorium, Barak Valley Secretariat Projects

SILCHAR: Minister for Public Health Engineering, Hill Areas and Barak Valley Development Krishnendu Paul reviewed the progress of the construction of the new auditorium-cum-District Library and the proposed Assam Secretariat building complex for Barak Valley in Silchar.

Chairing a meeting with senior officials of the Cachar district administration, Paul focused on the timely completion of the two major projects. Paul directed the officials to take necessary steps to expedite the work and ensure that the projects progress smoothly and are completed within the stipulated time frame.

“The development of Barak Valley has to move forward with speed and proper coordination. Our focus should be on completing important projects on time so that the people can have their intended benefits at the earliest,” the Minister said. He also called for regular monitoring of the progress of the projects to ensure that they remain on schedule. Emphasising the importance of timely completion of public infrastructure, Paul said effective coordination among the administration, implementing agencies and contractors would help ensure that the benefits of the projects reach the people without delay.
