DOOMDOOMA: At the initiative of Local MLA-cum-Minister for Labour Welfare, Tea-tribes and Tribal welfare and Home Rupesh Gowala declared a novel scheme ‘Uddipon’ under which the graduate students of Doomdooma LAC would be trained by Majestic Accademy, a unit of SPM IAS Academy, for various competitive examinations like ADRE, Bank Probationary Officer (PO), SSC, Railway, etc. free of cost. A declaration to this effect was announced by Minister Gowala in a press meet convened by him at hotel Royal Feast today.
For that, a 12-member committee was formed with Abhijit Khataniar as Convenor and Manoj Dutta and Dilip Prasad as co-convenors, Dr Kamaleswar Kalita, Dr Amorjit Saikia, Dr PJ Deka, Arjun Baruah, Prakash Dutta, and Alip Khan as advisers, and Subhashish Mallick, Dr Angshuman Chaudhury, and Jitu Gogoi as members.
On behalf of Majestic Accademy, Palash Changmai explained about coaching for various examinations. For those willing to appear in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), NEET ((National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Examination), and CEE (Common Entrance Examination), examination provision would be there to give them coaching at Guwahati.
The last date of application has been fixed on or before April 14 and applicants up to 200 numbers would be imparted training at the auditorium of Hoonlal HS School. If the number of such applicants exceeds 200, then an examination would be held for selecting 200 students from amongst them. Again, if the number of such students fell short of 200, then students from the neighbouring constituency would also be eligible to apply for such free coaching facilities.
The notable feature here is that the entire expenditure for the coaching would be borne by Minister Gowala.
