The minor was taken to a private hospital in Dibrugarh but the doctors declared him brought-dead. The incident occurred at the Amba Height Complex in Dibrugarh. According to reports, the boy fell into the tank while he was playing with a ball.
“The boy was missing since 3 PM. While the residents were searching for him, one of them found the sandal of the minor floating in the fire safety tank which was open, which led to him. The minor was taken out from the safety tank and immediately rushed to the hospital,” said a resident of Amba Height.
Tejas Beriwal Agarwal was the son of Raju Agarwal of Mariani from Jorhat who had come to his grandfather’s house for his father’s treatment.
“Due to negligence of the building owner, the minor died. There are no CCTV cameras and no security personnel in the building. The minor died due to gross negligence of the building owner,” alleged a resident.

“Rajen Lohia is the owner of the building. There is no safety in the building. No CCTV camera has been installed in the building nor any society formed,” alleged Sujit Deb, a resident of the building.
The family members of the deceased minor boy informed Milan Nagar police outpost about the matter.
“Who is responsible for such incidents? Who takes care of the building? The Dibrugarh district administration should initiate an inquiry into the incident,” said a conscious citizen.
