Tamulpur: Sensation prevailed after miscreant a miscreant looted money in broad daylight from the house of Kajal Dey, a resident of Bishnupur village near Kawli along the Indo-Bhutan border under Tamulpur police station in the district of Baksa on Monday noon.

According to Kajal Dey and his wife Anurani Dey, on Monday noon when Anurani returned home from the field, she saw an unidentified person stealing ornaments and money from the almirah. She screamed for help but the miscreant showed her a sharp weapon and managed to flee from the spot. The miscreant looted Rs 80,000 and gold jewellery from the house. Later, Kajal Dey lodged an FIR at Kumarikata police outpost. Investigation in on.
