MLA Jayanta Basumatary distributed cheques under CM's COVID-19 Widow Support Scheme

KOKRAJHAR: Jayanta Basumatary, Member of Legislative (MLA) of Sidli constituency on Monday distributed cheque of Rs.2.5 lakh each to four beneficiaries under Chief Minister's COVID-19 widow Support Scheme in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Chirang and other officials of district administration in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner's office at Kajalgaon.

Addressing the occasion, MLA Jayanta Basumatary said that the present government was always with the needy and helpless people. He hoped that the little amount extended by the government to support such people would help in healing the pain of losing their dear ones up to some extent. He further informed that all COVID-19 widows would be considered for the Arunodoy Schemes being implemented by the State government.
