MLA Prithiraj Rabha inaugurates PMAY-U house in Tezpur

TEZPUR: MLA Tezpur Prithiraj Rabha on Monday inaugurated a house constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) and handed it over to the beneficiary, Jewti Swargiary of Ward No-3 of Kacharigaon, Tezpur under Tezpur Municipal Board, in the presence of chairperson, Tezpur Development Authority, Biraj Nath, and others. The house has been constructed with an amount of Rs. 3 lakh, out of which Rs. 2 lakh was released to the beneficiary under PMAY-U and the remaining Rs 1 lakh was borne by the beneficiary. The programme is part of a Griha Pravesh Samaroh and Adharshila Shtapon Samaroh underway from July 21 to August 15. A total of 14,105 beneficiaries under this scheme have been released a total amount of Rs. 102.92 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
