Mob lynches two youths at Aathiyabari near Barpeta Road

Barpeta: Two brothers - Biswajit Das and Haradhon Arya alias Heba -were allegedly killed brutally by miscreants at Aathiyabari under Simlaguri police station near Barpeta Road on Wednesday.

The brothers were imprisoned a few days ago for attacking some people without any reason. They were in Nalbari Jail but due to the lockdown they were released.

After their release, the miscreants allegedly harassed the local people of Aathiyabari. The public gheraoed the residence of Ranjit Das and Simlaguri outpost.

When the brothers continued their activities, the enraged people allegedly killed the two brothers with sharp weapons in their courtyard and burnt the house. The police reached the spot and are investigating the incident.
