Mobile phone thieves guised as customers in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: In a novel way of theft, two thieves entered a mobile retail shop ‘Rupbani’ on the Nehru Road of the town on Saturday evening around 6.30 pm, pretending to buy mobile phones. All of a sudden, they fled the spot by taking mobile phones in their hands. The salesmen were quite unaware of the situation. By the time they managed to put up a chase, the two thieves had disappeared. An FIR has been lodged in Doomdooma PS. According to the owner of the shop, the prices of the two mobile phones would be around Rs 24,000 and Rs 15,000.
