Money seized by Static Surveillance Team in Barpeta

BARPETA: A team of SST (Static Surveillance Team) stationed at Jail Road, Barpeta and led by Aswini Kumar Das and Siddique Ali Ahmed, seized an amount of Rs. 19,55,000 from three persons in a Bolero car (AS-01 BD 6261) on Monday night.

The persons have been identified as Ashraful Sikdar, Suban Ali and Mofidul Islam. This amount was seized in presence of Pranjal Das, CO, Barpeta. The persons could not produce any valid documents for the seized money. Meanwhile, the amount has been deposited at the treasury office. So far, more than Rs 22 lakh has been seized from different areas of the district.
