

KOHIMA: The 4th State Level Committee (SLC) meeting was held on Monday, January 30, at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima. The SLC is an executive body of the State Council for Technical Education (SCTE).
During the 4th SLC meeting, the committee examined in detail the intrinsic factors determining the landscape of technical education in the state. The committee, at the meeting, reviewed the new curriculum designed, which is in line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP2020), its implications, and the preparedness of implementation; NBA accreditation of all the polytechnics in Nagaland; the need for a degree engineering college in the state; and catering internship opportunities for students.
Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education and Chairman of the SLC, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, convened the 4th Meeting of the SLC. Members present in the meeting were Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, Director of Technical Education; Dr. Urmila Kar, Professor of Education & Mgt, NITTTR Kolkata; Dr. Sujata Dash, Dean & Professor of IT, SET (NU); Ar. V. Neilazo Metha, Chief Architect PWD (P&D); Dr. Nzanthung Ngullie, Assistant Professor & Associate Dean NIT-Nagaland; Dr. Lithungo K. Murry, Assistant Professor & Associate Dean NIT-Nagaland; Tiakaba Amer, Additional Director of Technical Education; Er. David Tsela, Joint Director of Technical Education; and Er. Sorenthung Ezung, OSD-Technical Education.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Member Secretary, Er. Khrieketoulie Rupreo, COE-TE.
