Nagaon District Commissioner Debashish Sarma makes surprise visit to various government offices

NAGAON: Nagaon District Commissioner Debashish Sarma conducted surprise visits to various offices in Nagaon district on Tuesday morning.

During the visits, Sarma inspected the offices of the Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department, the Deputy Inspector of Schools of the District Primary Education Department, and the District Inspector of Schools and seized the attendance register of the officials as well as other employees of those offices.

Sarma expressed disappointment at the low attendance of officials and employees in these offices. He emphasized that it is unacceptable for government officials and employees to be negligent in their duties, especially when they are provided with all the facilities by the government. He stressed that it is not acceptable for common people to travel long distances for their work and return empty-handed due to the absence of officials and employees.

Sarma directed all officials and employees in the district to adhere to the working hours set by the government and to perform their duties diligently. He warned that negligence in duty would not be tolerated and emphasized the importance of maintaining a high-level of professionalism in government offices.
