National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) 1st Bn Guwahati distributes food and masks
Guwahati: Rescuers of 1st Bn NDRF Guwahati (Assam) under the supervision of Randhir Singh Gill, Commandant 1st Bn NDRF distributed food to more than 700 poor people on Friday. They distributed masks. In connection with COVID-19, medical team of NDRF carried out screening test of people at Matiyapara village of Kamrup district. NDRF rescuers also distributed food to more than 400 needy people at Nizsundray Gupa, Changsari villages of Kamrup. NDRF rescuers distributed food to these people in collaboration of Jain Rituraj Hotel Guwahati and Terapanth Bhwan, Guwahati.
Rescuers of 1st Bn NDRF carried out sanitization drive at various locations i.e ATC Building, Air Terminal LGBI Airport, Guwahati and BSNL Office Guwahati. The teams sprayed out disinfectant consisting of Sodium Hypochlorite in public places. During the programme, NDRF rescuers of 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati emphasized social distancing, hand washing, use of sanitizers etc, stated a press release.
