Nazira SDO Sabyasachi Kashyap launches COVID awareness video

GAURISAGAR: With the aim of spreading awareness on COVID-19 among tea garden workers and common masses, Nazira Subdivisional Officer (Civil) Sabyasachi Kashyap launched an awareness video on Saturday in the office of Assam Chah Majdoor Sangha in presence of the members of Assam Chah Majdoor Sangha, Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha, Assam Chah Janagusthi Sahitya Sabha, Assam Tea Tribe Students Association, tea garden managers, and others.

To be available on various media such as Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and WhatsApp, the video message is a combination of audio-visual medium and creativity that is likely to attract attention of the target audience. In a bid to make the video popular among the masses, so as to make practices of COVID protocol broad-based and self-participatory among the tea garden communities, the SDO (Civil) and the creative team involved in the production of the awareness video have tried to strike a chord by opting for the language of the target audience, rather than the lingua franca of the State, in the video.

"The euphonious piece of music is set in the local dialect of the tea tribes. Through this awareness drive, our purpose is to establish lucid communication and better mass participation," said SDO(C) Sabyasachi Kashyap. The music video was shot at Borbam Tea Estate of Sivasagar district. The musical rendition is beautifully done by Bhadra Rajowar who is also the lyricist and the singer.
