NCHISF holds discussion with the National Highway Authority of India

HAFLONG: A joint meeting of NC Hills Indigenous Students' Forum (NCHISF) and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was held under the chairmanship of Alok Kumar, Regional Officer at Regional Office, Guwahati recently. After a prolonged discussion, the NHAI authority agreed on blacktopping of Nrimbanglo to Mahur Railway Station tunnel bridge, repairing of all the potholes/damages between Mahur - Jatinga and Jatinga-Miyungkro and maintenance of S Curve.

Devid Keivom, president of NCHISF, informed that the NHAI would immediately start the maintenance balance works of NH-54E Pkg No AS 21 between Miyungkro-Harangajao portion with blacktopping, drain and culvert. Keivom further said that regarding replacement of Mahur Town Bridge into concrete, the RO informed that the PWD would submit the proposal under PMGSY. He assured that if the PWD did not take up the matter, NHAI would take up the work.
