The team of 1st Battalion NDRF evacuated 56 marooned villagers in flood-affected Hawra Ghat village under Goalpara

GUWAHATI: The team of 1^st Battalion NDRF evacuated 56 marooned villagers in flood-affected Hawra Ghat village under Goalpara district on Monday.

Besides, the teams are also assisting district administration in distribution of mask, screening inundated areas and maintained proper social distancing due to COVID-19 emergency. According to a release, more than 1,450 marooned villagers have been evacuated this monsoon season by 1^st Battalion NDRF Guwahati.
