NDRF organizes awareness programme on coronavirus at Silchar Airport

SILCHAR: An NDRF sub-team of 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati including paramedic staff organized an awareness programme on coronavirus at Silchar Airport on Thursday. The subjects which were covered during the awareness programme were symptoms and complications, prevention, the transmission of coronavirus and use of personal protective types of equipment, face mask, etc.

PK Gorai, Director Silchar Airport, A K Gupta DGM CNS, Dr. Latif, Tilak Hospital Silchar, Chief Airport Security Officer/Assistant Commandant of ASG Silchar Airport CISF Unit. CISF personnel & Airport staff attended the programme.

During the awareness programme, NDRF rescuers and paramedic staff of 1st Battalion NDRF, Guwahati generated awareness on the general knowledge about the coronavirus, its symptoms, and precautions. People were advised to avoid close contact with people who are sick, not to touch eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, cover cough or sneeze with a tissue, etc, stated a press release.
