KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland Guest House, Kajalgaon in the headquarter of Chirang district will not only meet the long-felt need of accommodation in the district headquarter but also attract tourists and other visitors. This was stated by BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary. The guest house was inaugurated on Thursday. Mohilary said the new Bodoland Guest House would have provision for night stay and meetings of government. He hoped that the new guest house would meet the basic needs of visitors coming to the district to a great extent.
Addressing the gathering, the BTC chief dedicated the new Bodoland Guest House to the people of Chirang district. The G+1 guest house, built at a cost of Rs.1.5 crore by PWD, BTC, has as many as six rooms, including one dining room and one conference hall. The new guest house also has two VIP suites for the BTC chief and deputy chief. Catering, room service and housekeeping services have all been arranged by the BTC authority.
During the interaction with media after the formal inauguration, Mohilary informed that his government was coming up with more such guest houses in the district and subdivisional-level of BTC area. He further informed about the foundation stone laid for construction of District Centre at Udalguri, Subdivisional centres at Bijni and Gossaigaon.
