New committee of Greater Bongaigaon Press Club formed

BONGAIGAON: The biennial convention of Greater Bongaigaon Press Club was held on Wednesday at GBPC premises with a day-long programme.

The programme started with flag hoisting by Sujit Kumar Ray, president of GBPC, which was followed by tribute paying by working president Tejesh Tripathy. The working committee meeting was held after this and then general meeting was held which was presided over by Sujit Kumar Ray. The new committee of GBPC for the session of 2021-23 was formed where Ranjit Kumar Sarma was selected as president, Prasanta Ray as working president, Pranab Kumar Deka as secretary and Dhiraj Chakraborty as assistant secretary. Along with seven executive members, namely Aftab Ali, Kallol Dev Sarma, Niranjan Ray, Manoj Sarma, Rajesh Shah, Bikash Sarma and Ghanasyam Ray, the 15-member committee was formed.
