New Tinsukia DC Pawar Narsing Sambhaji stresses tackling COVID situation

TINSUKIA: Newly-appointed Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia, Pawar Narsing Sambhaji after assuming the charge on Wednesday, laid stress on prevailing COVID issues and emphasized addressing public grievances.

Interacting with the media at the DC's conference hall on Thursday, Sambhaji said that proper wearing of mask and social distancing could significantly halt spreading of COVID. He ensured that patients with home quarantine would be provided with all support so that their needs were fulfilled. He also envisaged short and long-term plans so that he could reach up to people's expectations. Replying to the queries from media, Sambhaji said that the number of vaccination centres would be enhanced to reduce gathering. He has sought media support and desired that the public issues be brought to his notice and further informed that monitoring team would be constituted in every municipal ward and also in rural areas.

Debojit Deuri, the newly-joined Superintendent of Police, was also present and interacted with media. He informed that the SOPs had been enforced with all strictness like imposition of penalties.
