Noted anesthesia specialist Dr Dilip Boruah of Nagaon passes away

NAGAON: Senior physician as well as noted anesthesia specialist and a resident of Jagannath Mandir Path of Nagaon town, Dr Dilip Boruah breathed his last on Tuesday night at a private hospital here due to sudden cardiac arrest. He was 76.

He leaves behind his wife and a daughter. He retired as an anesthesia specialist after rendering his services for many years in Nagaon BP Civil Hospital and since his retirement, he also continued to serve the economically weaker sections of society till his death.

Dr Boruah suddenly fell ill on Tuesday night right after taking food at his JM road residence. He was immediately shifted to a local private hospital where the doctor on duty later declared him dead.

The demise of Dr Boruah cast a pall of gloom across the town. Local MLA Rupak Sarma, former AGP minister Girindra Kr Boruah and a host of dignitaries condoled his demise and prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul.
