NRC Assam: AABYSF Stages Sit-in in Front of Morigaon DC Office

Morigaon: In protest against the exclusion of names of genuine Hindu Bengali nationals into the final draft of NRC published on August 31 last, the central Committee of All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation, led by chief advisor Ajoy Bhushan Sarkar and Morigaon district committee led by the president Chandra Mohan Biswas and the GS Anil Mallik on Friday staged a sit-in demonstration in front of the DC office. The organization led by Ajoy Bhushan Sarkar said that name of a large number of genuine Hindu Bengali people, particularly (SC) and (OBC) were excluded from the final draft of NRC. The genuine citizens were illegally and arbitrarily left over from the final list of NRC with huge anomalies and error. The organization also said, “The NRC authority, inspite of the expenses of huge public money and resources, the NRC is not correct and error free. They said that it is the duty of the State in pursuant the Constitution India to protect the citizen of India as such exclusion of large number of Indian nationals from the said NRC is a total failure and gross violation of the Constitution.
