Obituary: Jogen Saikia

Jogen Saikia, a resident of Janapath of Hatigaon in Guwahati, breathed his last on Saturday after a brief illness at a hospital in Guwahati. He was 72. Late Saikia retired as a Deputy Secretary under the Department of Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs, Government of Assam.

He was associated with several local social organizations. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, a daughter, and other relatives. His death was widely mourned.
