Obituary: Mohinibala Phukan

Mohinibala Phukan, a resident of ward no.6, Morigaon, breathed her last on April 6 at her residence due to old-age ailment. She was 91. A lady of amicable nature, Mohinibala Phukan's demise cast a pall of gloom in Morigaon. She was associated with Morigaon Sankari Krishtri Sarcha Kendra. She received the Best Weaver State award in 1958 and the then Handloom and Textile Minister Mahendra Nath Hazarika felicitated her. She leaves behind her son, senior journalist Dalim Phukan, and three daughters.
