Obituary: Narendra Nath Keot

Narendra Nath Keot, the founder president of Morigaon Zilla Xahitya Xabha, founder principal of Morigaon College, prominent educationist, pioneer of literary field and nationalist thought, passed away at a private hospital in Guwahati at 2 pm on Friday. His body was brought to the Shashikant Hazarika Bhawan where District Xahitya Xabha president Dr Harmohan Kalita, vice-president Laksheshwar Bardoloi, district secretary Kushal Kumar Bar, and district representative of central executive Pnakii Bhushan Mahanta paid their last respects to him. Former president of the District Xahitya Xabha Bubumani Goswami, former vice-president Birinchi Kumar Sharma, former Secretary Ajit Sharma, lifetime member of Axam Xahitya Xabha Mahendra Nath Hazarika, Nikhil Hazarika, Chimal Deuri, Jagiroad Shatdal Branch Xahitya Xabha president Laksheshwar Kakati, District Xahitya Xabha vice-president Mun Thakuria, organizing secretary Pranjal Bora, and many relatives paid their last respects to the deceased. A pall of gloom prevailed in the district following his demise. He left behind two sons, two daughters, and other relatives.
