Obituary: Retired Deputy Director of the Department of Sericulture Hari Chetry

Hari Chetry, retired Deputy Director of the Department of Sericulture and a social worker, passed away on November 8. He was 66. A resident of Khalpara, Kalyanpur, Biswanath Chariali, Hari Chetry started his education from a local primary school and passed the High School Leaving Examination from Biswanath Chariali Multipurpose Higher Secondary School. He retired on March 31, 2015 after serving as the Deputy Director of the Department of Sericulture for many years.

After retirement, he engaged himself in various social activities. Apart from being the acting president of the Nepali Coordinating Committee, he was also associated with various educational, cultural and literary organisations. He leaves behind his mother, wife and two sons.
