OBITUARY: Tankeswar Gogoi

Tankeswar Gogoi (65), a resident of Palengi Araltali Gaon near Demow, died on February 23 at a private hospital in Jorhat. He was suffering from high blood pressure and was undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Tankeswar Gogoi was the first to get Letter marks in Mathematics from Demow Higher Secondary School examination center in HSLC and was a Science graduate from Sivasagar College. Tankeswar Gogoi worked as a cashier in the Postal Department for four years and also worked in the State Bank of India as a cashier in various places. Tankeswar Gogoi retired in the year 2016 as General Manager in Jorhat. His demise has been widely condoled in Palengi area. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives.
