OIL felicitates Dulal Manki at Keseruguri, Tinsukia

DIBRUGARH: Oil India Limited felicitated Padma Shri awardee for Art and Music, Dulal Manki at his residence at Keseruguri, Borhapjan in Tinsukia district recently.

Executive Director (SIO&SP) Agadh Medhi and other officials from OIL presented Manki with memento and a traditional Assamese shawl. Manki, a folk singer and music composer from the tea tribes community, has composed a number of songs and promoted folk music mostly inspired from the lives of the tea tribes of Assam. He is also credited with giving music in a number of songs in Assamese films.
