PALASBARI: Under the District administration and the District Industries & Commerce Centre (DI&CC), Kamrup Rural, a one day Export Conclave as part of the celebration of 75 years of India's independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was organized at the auditorium of Dakhin Kamrup Girls College, Mirza. As part of the 75 years of India's independence, the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, organised a week long Vanijya Utsav throughout the country with effect from September 20, September 26. In this connection, a conclave was organized for the local exporters and entrepreneurs along with an exhibition of their products. "The district of Kamrup Rural has the unique distinction of being known as the Industrial Hub of Assam.

Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Company (FPC), Industrial Societies, representatives from various organizations, Boards and Industry Associations along with entrepreneurs participated in the programme. Along with the participation, they also displayed their various products in the exhibition.

Sualkuchi Taat Silpa, Muga Eri Silpa Samabay Samitee Mirza, CG Snacks Pvt. Ltd., Gramya Boa Kata Anusthan Rampur, ITC Ltd., Manjushree Innovation Pvt. Ltd., KDG Foods, Emami Ltd., Kamrup Agro Industries Association, Merico Ltd., Ranchanga Agro Producer Company, Mapaikai Agro Producer Company, Sun pharma Laboratories, Krishi Mitra FPC, Poiron Silk Cluster Boko are some of the big names associated with the conclave. Suryadoi Farmer Product Company, Abha Creation had their products on display at the event.

The exhibition in the conclave was inaugurated by the Development Commissioner of the district, Narsingh Dey, ACS, and the ceremonial lamp was lit by Assistant Commissioner Preeti Kumari. The conclave focused on the challenges and problems related to export with detailed discussions on demand of Indian exports in various countries, value addition, packaging, quality standards, transport and rules and regulations.
