One injured in a road accident in Nagruli

BAKSA: A youth was seriously injured in a fatal road accident in Nagruli on Wednesday evening.

Sources in Nagirijuli police said that a motorcycle hit a railing in the turning near the Balti bridge on Tamulpur-Nagirijuli road. As a result, a youth on a bicycle was critically injured. On the other hand, the motorcycle rider fled the spot. Few people spotted the unidentified injured youth and reported it to the Naglijuli police.

A police team led by Officer-in-charge of Naglijuli police outpost, Manoj Das rushed to the spot and rescued the youth with the help of local people and rushed him to Naglijuli Model Hospital. Police have not been able to get the identity of the youth till the time of filing the report. Police recovered the torn number plate of the motorcycle (AS-25-D-9551) from the accident spot. Police officer Manoj Das told media persons that the Nagrijuli police were trying to establish the identity of the injured youth as well as searching for the motorcycle rider who was involved in the accident.
