One murdered by drunkards in Barkhetri

Ranjit Koiborta, a resident of Galdighala in Barkhetri under Mukalmua Police Station was beaten to death by a group of drunkards on Tuesday. He was sent to GMCH.

However, hospital authority declared that he was dead when he was brought to the hospital. Meanwhile, Mukalmua Police has arrested three persons in this regard. The trio is identified as Rinku Koiborta, Kharge Koiborta and Niren Koiborta.

Local residents have claimed this is a tragic outcome of illegal liquor being sold in the entire area. They are demanding strict action against the social menace.
