Orientation programme on Gunotsav underway at Lakhimpur Commerce College

LAKHIMPUR: The three-day orientation programme for external evaluators for Gunotsav-2022 (3rd Round) for Lakhimpur district began at Lakhimpur Commerce College on Tuesday. Organized by Samagra Siksha Abhiyan-Lakhimpur, the orientation programme was inaugurated by Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan in presence of Lakhimpur Development Commissioner Manoj Kumar Baruah and Principal of the college Dr. Lohit Hazarika. The objective of the meeting was explained by Nibharani Saikia, District Programme Officer, SSA, Lakhimpur.

In his inaugural address DC Sattawan urged the external evaluators to participate in the Gunotsav to work with interest and in a positive spirit. He said that policy making always depended on the qualitative enumeration and survey and hence the external evaluators have a great responsibility in presenting important inputs towards framing policies in the education sector from the elementary level. The inaugural session was also addressed by DDC Manoj Kumar Baruah.
