Over 7,000 delegates to take part in 52nd conference of ABSU

KOKRAJHAR: Kanakeswar Narzary Jaorikhang Fwthar at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district is all set to host the 52nd conference of the ABSU from December 21 to December 23. All preparations have been completed and over 7,000 delegates from across the State and neighboring states are likely to take part in the historic session.

The convener of the reception committee, Ambrit Brahma said all preparations had been completed and around 7,000 delegates and observers from Assam and West Bengal were expected to come for the conference. He said former Vice-Chancellor of Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat, Prof. KM Bezbaruah would be the chief guest while Dr. Hitendra Nath Goswami, Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly, Taren Boro, president of Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) and Mebar Kr. Jamatia, Minister of the Government of Tripura, would attend the open session as the special guests.

As per the programme, Rajendra Nath Brahma, chairman of the Central Selection Board (CSB) will inaugurate the Bagrangchu Mashahary Memorial Exhibition while Baneswar Basumatary, president of Kokrajhar district BSS, and Sunil Kr. Basumatary, Principal of Ramfalbil Higher Secondary School, will inaugurate the martyr Abhiram Mashahary main gate and Tublao Brahma Memorial Market respectively.

Local MLA Rabiram Narzary will inaugurate the Mengnw Rwngwi Jwhelao Satish Chandra Basumatary Memorial main pandal while noted entrepreneur of Gossaigaon, Jitmal Malo will inaugurate the Kamleswar Brahma Memorial Dining Hall. Similarly, Daoharu Garla Batha Basumatary memorial delegate hall will be inaugurated by BTC MCLA Jatirindra Brahma while the Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma memorial delegate camp will be inaugurated by Sitya Ranjan Basumatary, president of Kokrajhar district Boro Somaj. On the other hand, DFO, Kachugaon, Matilal Basumatary will inaugurate the Martyr Sailendra Brahma memorial volunteer office.
