Guwahati: The newly formed political party of the state, Raijor Dol (people's party) unveiled its party flag on Sunday. The party also announced the dates of the first convention, which is to be held in January 2021. The flag was launched in the presence of Jahnu Baruah, Filmmaker; Ghyanshyam Nath, Former Principal of Guwahati Commerce College; Rubul Das and Giri Shankar Goswami, Convenors; and Vasco De Saikia, former president of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS).

The Dates for the very first state convention of Raijor Dol was announced by Vasco De Saikia. The convention will take place from January 7 to 9 in Moran district of Assam. He further said that the party has already formed about 29 district committeees and 75 constituency committees in the state.

He also said that Raijor Dol will make its entry in all the constituencies of the state. There are a total of 126 constituencies in Assam. However, Saikia mentioned that the party will not field candidates across all the constituencies alon. They will join hands with other regional p[arties to come together. An indication was given by Saikia about a possible alliance with another newly formed regional party of the state, Asom Jatiya Parishad.

Raijor Dol was officially launched by KMSS on October 2. The party promises of a better tomorrow. Around 70 indigenous groups and the regional party, the ''Sanjukta Anchalik Dal, Asom'', who were together during the anti Citizenship (Amendment) Act agitation, are in support of the newly formed Raijor Dol. The official slogan of the party is chosen as "think globally, act locally."

The party made the process of joining the party as a member incredibly easy. All one has to do to become a member of the 'Raijor Dal' is log into their official website (www.raijordal.org) and submit a few details to become a member of the party.
