Person suspected to be affected by coronavirus examined by medical team

DHUBRI: A person suspected to have been affected by coronavirus was examined by a medical team from Dhubri Health department at Gajarikandi Health Block under Dhubri District Health Department on Monday. Sources in health department informed that the person suspected to be affected by coronavirus recently came from Haryana and reportedly has been suffering from cold and cough for the last one week along other symptoms of coronavirus.

Talking to The Sentinel, Dhubri District Immunization and Surveillance Officer, Dr. Joydeep Bhattacharjee said that as soon as they received the information, a team rushed to examine the patient. “Now samples will be sent to Guwahati for test and then it can be confirmed whether it is a positive case of corona or negative,” said Dr Bhattachachajee.

Dhubri district administration has already held a series of meetings with health officials, Red Cross Society and NGOs active in the field of health services and is taking all preventive and precautionary measures to stop the outbreak coronavirus in the district.
