Plea for provincialization of Morakalong-Tengaguri Model ME school

MORIGAON: Though the government has provincialized more than 29,000 schools based on the DISE code for the year 2009-10, many schools have not been provincialized as they do not have the DISE code for 2009-10.

On the contrary, these schools have DISE code for the year 2010-11 only. Among them, Morakalong-Tengaguri Model ME School was established in 1995 and recognized in 2005. But the school does not have DISE code for the 2009-10. It only had DISE code for the year 2010-11. The teachers of the school had filed a case in the court for immediate disposal of the matter and accordingly, they had submitted the report to then Deputy Commissioner in 2012. But they did not get any fruitful result. Besides, a few teachers of the ME school have already crossed the aged bar and cannot apply for any government job.

The teachers of the school have urged the government to take steps for provincializing the school.
